The E60 5 Series sedan and E61 wagon introduced BMW's iDrive era and the controversial Chris Bangle styling that has since aged into a cult following. Under the skin, the E60 range spanned the 525i and 530i with naturally aspirated inline-sixes, the 545i and 550i with V8 power, and the 535i with the N54 twin-turbo inline-six -- a combination of power, technology, and chassis capability that makes the E60 one of the most compelling modern BMW platforms for the used market. The standard E60 uses a 5x120 bolt pattern with a 72.6-millimeter center bore. The factory wheels were 16-inch through 18-inch cast units. A forged monoblock upgrade reduces unsprung mass across the range.
The E60's fitment accounts for the weight and brake requirements of the full model range. The 550i's V8 and the 535i's twin-turbo N54 both demand substantial front brake packages, and the offset must clear the large calipers while sitting flush within the E60's arches. The wagon adds the load-carrying reality of a heavier rear end. Our offset is measured on a real E60 550i chassis through the full steering and suspension range, with the correct 72.6-millimeter hub bore for hub-centric fitment. No spacers. No centering rings.
